The Teras are coming, the Teras are coming......

We have ordered four, new RS Teras to add to our fleet and expect delivery in time for our Super Bowl Regatta in January.  These boats feature a more modern design with a self bailing cockpit and will be much easier to maintain than our aging Sabots.  No need to worry, our Sabots and Optis will remain central to our program for quite awhile!  The arrival of these boats will allow us another option to tailor and enhance more of our students’ sailing adventures.

 We got our first good look at these boats during the 2017 Super Bowl Regatta when 12 of them joined the fun.  We are very impressed with the growing popularity of these boats among programs similar to ours such as the Dana Point Youth Foundation, Westlake Yacht Club and American Legion Yacht club to name a few.  Cal Yacht Club also has a fleet of a dozen.  Donovan and Miles are pictured here heading to the racing area during the Cal Tera Regatta earlier this year in which 30 boats competed.  Miles competed in the inaugural RS Tera North Americans in August with teams from all over Southern California and one from Colorado.
